Table magic is close-up magic performed at seated dining tables - and it's among the most impressive and personal forms of entertainment you can add to any dinner event. No stage, no distance, no screen between the magician and the audience. Just extraordinary sleight of hand happening in your guests' own hands and borrowed objects, with no room for tricks.
I'm Callum McClure - an award-winning table magician and member of The Magic Circle. I perform at the table for groups of four to twelve guests at a time, moving through dining rooms at corporate dinners, gala evenings, wedding breakfasts and private dinner parties across London and Surrey.
What table magic looks like in practice
I arrive at the table, introduce myself briefly, and then perform a series of connected sleight-of-hand routines - typically five to ten minutes per table. Cards, coins, everyday objects: everything happens right there, in people's own hands, with objects they can examine. There's nowhere to hide and nothing is prepared - the magic is real technique, not props.
I then move to the next table and repeat, working the room in a circuit. For a seated dinner of ten tables, most guests will have their table visited within an hour and a half.
